Duane Ashton – Director
Duane has been in the produce industry for as long as he can remember. Founding Suncoast Fresh was a natural progression for him after working in similar businesses and providing service above and beyond what chefs in the region were used to. Duane has a young family and in his limited spare time he works on his car and property in Sunshine Coast Hinterland.
Graeme Twine – Director
Graeme was an award winning chef and spent some time travelling during his early years before moving back to the area he grew up in – Byron Bay. After transitioning into wholesale fruit and veg Graeme quickly developed a knack for dealing with both growers and chefs. Graeme founded Suncoast Fresh with Duane and is now based in Brisbane, looking after the purchasing side of the business, while still keeping in touch with chefs from all areas. Graeme sees himself as a fresh produce ambassador and takes great pride in providing chefs with the best that our region has to offer.
Ben Green – Manager (Sunshine Coast)
Ben is a chef by trade and has been with Suncoast Fresh since the beginning; if you have called the office, chances are that you have spoken with Ben (or left him a message). Ben is recently married and lives on the Sunshine Coast with his wife. He’s a keen golfer and home renovator.
Brendan Abel – Produce Expert
Brendan lives and breathes the fresh produce industry, he is based in Brisbane and works with Graeme on the purchasing side of the business. If you need product information or are interested in seasonality you can learn more on our seasonal guide or you can give Brendan a call.
Sam Johnson – Manager (Byron Bay)
Sam is a true Byron local. Sam attended Byron High, is an active member of Byron Bay Deep Sea Fishing Club and competes in local surfing competitions. He has worked in the fruit and veg industry for over 12 years and takes great pride in his work, has integrity and most importantly has a sense of humour. Sam has two young children with his wife Holly – he is a kind, down to earth guy who isn’t afraid of hard work (or a cold beer)!.
